The Blogger Goes Glam
Just want to give a shout-out to all my so-called friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and colleagues, plus the Fed Ex driver and the dry cleaner, who e-mailed, phoned, or told me in person a version of the following: “Wow! The picture of you on your blog is terrific! It doesn’t even look like you at all!”
O-k-a-a-a-y.
To you all I’d like to say: 1) the camera doesn’t lie, 2) no stunt doubles were harmed during the taking of this photograph, and 3) thank you (I guess).
And to my female offspring-who-has-no-name who asked incredulously, “That’s the picture you’re using?” I would like to say: Your optometrist appointment is next Tuesday at 2:00.

Hey, I have always maintained that "Glam is Good." The alternative is definitely worse! I'm at the point in my life now that The Tools and The Instruments of the Glam Trade that are needed to maintain my own "GLAMness" absolutely take up all of the drawers in my shared bathroom (with hubby)AND their reasonable facimiles also take up at least three quarters of the space in my pocket book.
But the good news is that the pocket book now has another purpose: it functions as a "free weight" when I carry it to work.
And, oh, I almost forgot, in my other hand I carry my briefcase (also a free weight full of GLAMness tools and tricks of the trade)because it serves as a "backup" in case my pocket book is misplaced or whatever...
Like it self-destructs because it is over the weight limit for carrying all of my GLAMness stuff.
We gals have to do what we have to do to stay on the Glam Track!
Laurie, I love the glam blogger bit--you do look fabulous darling! This will be my new weekly dose, sort of like People magazine's Star Tracks that I follow so faithfully (please don't leak that out, he he he)!!!
