Parenting Paradoxes to Ponder
Here are a couple of parenting paradoxes to ponder. Can anyone please tell me why:
1A) The more annoying the toy, the longer its life span.
Or, on the other hand:
1B) The more educational/productive the toy, the sooner it dies.
And what about:
2A) The more expensive the piece of clothing, the greater likelihood of it going AWOL.
Or, its flip-side:
2B) Why don’t they ever lose the hand-me-downs, only the full-price splurges?
Just curious. Any thoughts?

It's kind of like that phrase about private schools vs. public schools:
"The more you pay, the less you go."
Or why just because a must-have toy costs more doesn't meant they'll play with it any longer?
Remember Silly Putty? Cheaper than dirt ... and yet you can do so MUCH with it. Talk about entertainment for hours ... "reading the newspaper" was never so much fun!
It's called an inverse relationship, similar to my experience with private school education. The higher the tuition, the fewer days of school the student is required to attend.
Hey! Another reader had almost the same comment as me, but I didn't see her comment before posting mine!!! Next time, I'll be more careful to write something original.
